Privacy notice

This notice is provided in compliance with Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), its Regulations and the Privacy Notice Guidelines.

Who is responsible for your data

Luisa Fernanda Peña Méndez, an individual with business activity who operates the restaurant Parceros (also listed on Google as La Bodeguita de Parceros), with address at Calle 62 #443, Parque Santa Lucía, Centro, 97203 Mérida, Yucatán, México, is the party responsible for processing your personal data.

What data we process

This website does not ask you for any data. It has no contact, booking or subscription forms, and it does not create user accounts. Browsing parceros.mx does not mean you hand us any personal information.

We only process data when you choose to contact us:

• By WhatsApp or phone — the number you write or call from, your name and whatever you tell us so we can handle an order, a reservation or a question. If you order delivery, the delivery address as well.
• By email — your email address and the content of your message.
• At the restaurant — the details you give us for a reservation or a celebration: name, phone number, number of guests and, if you tell us, allergies or dietary restrictions.

Data about allergies or dietary restrictions may be considered sensitive personal data. We only process it if you give it to us, solely to prepare your order safely, and we do not share it with anyone else.

What we use it for

• Handling and confirming your reservations, orders and celebrations.
• Answering your questions and following up.
• Meeting tax obligations when you request an invoice.

We do use one advertising tool — the Meta pixel, from Facebook and Instagram — to tell whether our ads work and to show them again to people who visited the site. There is a section on it below, under “Advertising”. What we do not do is sell your data or share it with third parties for other commercial purposes.

Third-party services

The site relies on external services that have their own privacy policies and that we do not control:

• Google Maps — the map on the contact page is embedded, and Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies when it loads.
• OpenTable — when you book you leave our site, and your data is processed by OpenTable under its own notice.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — the conversation takes place inside their platform.
• Cloudinary — serves the photographs on the site.
• Vercel — hosts the site and measures how many visits it gets and how fast it loads. It uses no cookies: to avoid counting the same person twice it derives a temporary identifier from the request, which it neither stores nor can trace back to you.
• PostHog — measures how the site is used: which pages are visited, which dishes are opened and which buttons are tapped. It is configured without cookies and without any storage on your device, so nothing remains once you close the tab and your visits are never linked to one another.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — the “Meta pixel” tells them that you visited the site and what you did here, so we can measure our ads and show them to you again. This is the only tool on the site that does store cookies on your device and the only one that shares your activity with an advertising network. Meta handles it under its own policy.

What you type when you build an order

From the menu you can build an order and, if you want, add your name, your address, some landmarks and your location. All of that is optional —you can send the order without typing anything— and none of it reaches any server of ours.

• We do not store it. What you type lives only in your browser while the tab is open. There is no account, no database and nothing is left once you close it.
• You are the one who sends the order. The site only drafts the message; it opens in your WhatsApp so you can review it and send it. You can edit it or delete anything you would rather not share before sending.
• Your location is calculated on your own device. If you agree to share it, your browser lets us use it to centre the map and to measure the distance to the restaurant. That calculation happens entirely on your phone: the coordinates are not stored on any server of ours and do not enter our site measurement. The spot you confirm travels inside your message, as a map link.
• The map is drawn by OpenStreetMap. To show it to you, your browser requests the map images from OpenStreetMap, so those servers see the area you are looking at. And when you confirm your spot, we ask them once what that address is called, so we can suggest it in writing and save you the typing. It is the only part of the order that leaves your browser before you send it, and it carries neither your name nor anything else you wrote.

Once you send the message, that information reaches our WhatsApp and we handle it like any other order you write to us: to prepare it, deliver it and confirm it with you.

How we measure the site

We measure the site in order to improve it — to learn what people look for, what they fail to find and what breaks on a phone — and we do it leaving as little trace as possible:

• Our own measurement sets no cookies. What we use to understand the site — Vercel and PostHog — stores nothing on your device and does not follow you across other sites. Advertising is a separate matter and has its own section below.
• We do not know who you are. We collect no name, email or phone number as you browse, and we do not link what you do here to anything you may have given us over WhatsApp or when booking.
• Session recording. To understand where people get stuck, we keep an anonymous reconstruction of the visit — movement around the page and taps — with no audio, no camera and no record of anything you type into any text field.

You can switch all of it off by turning on your browser’s Do Not Track signal, by using any content blocker, or by browsing in a private window.

Advertising

We advertise the restaurant on Facebook and Instagram, and to tell whether those ads are worth it we use the Meta pixel: a small piece of code that tells Meta you visited the site and what you did here.

• What we tell them. Actions, not people: which pages you saw, which dishes you opened, whether you added anything to an order and whether you ended up writing to us or booking a table. We never send your name, your address, your landmarks or your location — nothing you type while building an order leaves your browser for Meta.
• What it is for. Two things: knowing which ad brought real visits, and showing you one of our ads again on Facebook or Instagram if you passed through here.
• It does set cookies. It is the exception to everything above, which is why we say it separately.
• How to switch it off. With your browser’s “Do Not Track” signal the pixel is never even downloaded. You can also use a content blocker, browse in a private window, or adjust your ad preferences inside Facebook and Instagram.

Cookies

Our measurement of the site sets no cookies of its own. The cookies you may find here are third-party, and there are two kinds: the Meta pixel — see “Advertising” above — and the Google map embedded on the contact page, which loads only when you visit it. You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose you gave it to us for and, where applicable, for the periods required by law — primarily tax law. After that it is deleted.

Your ARCO rights

You have the right to Access your data, to Rectify it if it is inaccurate, to Cancel it when you consider it unnecessary and to Object to its processing. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise them, write to contacto@parceros.mx with the subject line "Derechos ARCO", stating:

• Your name and a way to contact you.
• Official identification proving that it is you.
• Which right you want to exercise and over which data.

We will reply within a maximum of 20 business days. If the answer does not satisfy you, you may turn to the authority with jurisdiction over personal data protection.

Changes to this notice

If the way we process your data changes, we will update this notice and publish the new version on this same page, with its update date. We suggest checking it from time to time.
